CUMECS is a research
expedition that will investigate the geology and habitats
of submarine canyons in the central Mediterranean Sea . The expedition, funded by Eurofleets and Marie Curie Actions (European Commission FP7), departs from Malta on the 28th June 2012 and will explore submarine canyons incising the Malta-Sicily Escarpment.
